But we also knew coming into it, that you had other business you were responsible for.

It has taken years to unlearn some of my old development habits. In a recent post, I talk about writing code to write code. When a problem is statically complex enough, it becomes a huge win and keeps me mobile enough to solve the problems quickly.

Source code control systems are a very useful tool to use as well.

I hope things are going well for you at Microsoft after the Skype acquisition a year ago!

--Mark
Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05314130812566991108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8334018989882702842.post-63213929203074645752013-01-21T07:04:07.339-08:002013-01-21T07:04:07.339-08:00I often wish that I'd been able to stay at Fra...I often wish that I'd been able to stay at Fractal longer... was great to be able to work on those products and with Tom and Mark. I learned a bunch of development habits there... mostly good, some not so much :) But when I left, it was entirely because scruz-net was consuming so much of my time and energy that it wasn't fair to Fractal for me to even try to stay. scruz-net did change the community for the better, and was a lot of fun, so it wasn't the *wrong* decision, just unfortunate timing to not be able to participate in more of Fractal's lifecycle.Matthew Kaufmanhttp://www.matthew.atnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8334018989882702842.post-29573840514596781162012-02-22T09:38:16.833-08:002012-02-22T09:38:16.833-08:00Ah, the privilege was all mine, I assure you. It was a great family and I consider myself fortunate to have been invoved with such a fantastic group of talented and creative professionals. And I consider myself lucky to still be in touch with so many of you 12+ years down the trail. Thanks and cheers Mister Zimmer!
